One more step and you’re on your way to becoming a First Mate with Island Time Charters! Please read the First Mate Club Information and Guidelines below, prior to submitting your reservation. Once received, the Camp Director will send you a confirmation of your reservation and you’ll officially be on board!

First Mate Camp PARTICIPATION INFORMATION, STANDARDS and GUIDELINES
Camps will be limited to 5 campers ages 7-15, and independent of parent/guardians.
If camps are full on your requested date/week, you will be notified of the next available camp date that has space. A wait list is made for each camp.
Campers can follow directions, comfortable around water and boating, and be independent in activities.
All participating will be under the supervision of a USCG Master Captain and a program assistant during the training times. Both are CPR/First Aid certified. Safety is our top priority.
A valid form of payment with the registration application are required to reserve your spot. See ITC cancellation requirements.
FIRST MATE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Respectful to self and others
Uses appropriate language and manners
Has an interest in sea life, boating, and caring for mother nature.
FIRST MATE DRESS CODE and GUIDELINES
Sun protection (non aerosol sunscreen, spray sunscreen cannot be used on the boat, sunglasses, etc)
Shoes that are able to be wet and comfortable. Shoes will be removed while on the boat.
Light jacket for shower and/or cool winds.
Tops and shorts or pants that are breathable and comfortable (quick dry is suggested)
No Cell phone use by campers. They may keep them in a belongings bag on board and take them out for pictures when the Captain gives the okay. For emergencies, the program assistant can be contacted by text or phone (see emergency contact section) and will make calls to parents/guardians, if needed.
Island Time Charters is not responsible for lost or missing items. We cannot administer or be responsible for the use of medications or sunscreen for participants. We will encouraged the use and reapplication of sunscreen onboard. Spray sunscreen will not be able to be used near the boat.
