First Mate Camp PARTICIPATION INFORMATION, STANDARDS and GUIDELINES

Camps will be limited to 5 campers ages 7-15, and independent of parent/guardians.
If camps are full on your requested date/week, you will be notified of the next available camp date that has space. A wait list is made for each camp.
Campers can follow directions, comfortable around water and boating, and be independent in activities.
All participating will be under the supervision of a USCG Master Captain and a program assistant during the training times. Both are CPR/First Aid certified. Safety is our top priority.
A valid form of payment with the registration application are required to reserve your spot. See ITC cancellation requirements.

FIRST MATE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

FIRST MATE DRESS CODE and GUIDELINES

Sun protection (non aerosol sunscreen, spray sunscreen cannot be used on the boat, sunglasses, etc)
Shoes that are able to be wet and comfortable. Shoes will be removed while on the boat.
Light jacket for shower and/or cool winds.
Tops and shorts or pants that are breathable and comfortable (quick dry is suggested)
No Cell phone use by campers. They may keep them in a belongings bag on board and take them out for pictures when the Captain gives the okay. For emergencies, the program assistant can be contacted by text or phone (see emergency contact section) and will make calls to parents/guardians, if needed.

Island Time Charters is not responsible for lost or missing items. We cannot administer or be responsible for the use of medications or sunscreen for participants. We will encouraged the use and reapplication of sunscreen onboard. Spray sunscreen will not be able to be used near the boat.

Emergency Contact Plan: In the case of emergencies, the participant’s safety is the first priority. Once situations are safe, the emergency contacts will be notified in their order listed along with a voicemail with a location to meet and the call back number. If circumstances arise that we will need to access the closest dock, this will be left in the voicemail. Island Time Charters is not responsible for transportation outside of the dock.

Reservation and Cancellation Policy

Reservation Policy Reservations are accepted at least 48-hours in advance and are booked on a first come, first serve basis. In order to confirm a reservation, your valid credit card information must be provided at the time of scheduling. Without complete and valid information, reservations are not able to be confirmed. We accept Visa and Mastercard for reservations and payment as well as cash. There is a 7% fee for payment with credit card. Cancellation Policy By making a reservation, you acknowledge your understanding and acceptance of our cancellation policy below: Weather cancellations are at the sole discretion of Island Time Charters, LLC. Cruise times will be adjusted or rescheduled for inclement weather. Cancellations by the Captain due to weather prior to departure will be refunded in full and parties will be called at the phone number provided at the time of reservation confirmation. Cancellations by the Captain due to weather during cruises will be refunded for the time remaining. Cancellations made by customers from the time of reservation up to 5 days prior to your scheduled departure time will be refunded 50% and we are able unable to refund cruises cancelled 5 days or less from the scheduled departure date. Reservations must be made 48-hours in advance. We appreciate your understanding of the above policies.
